There’s no getting away from it, social media is both important and ever-changing. One way you can keep up and generate a bigger following is by creating short-form videos and this little camera is great for that.

I have harped on about the power of behind-the-scenes videos for years; they act as superb educational tools even if they aren’t trying to be educational. They are also fantastically interesting to watch, particularly if it’s somebody you admire doing the thing you admire them for. In fact, I have often found myself becoming interested in new things just because I get to watch the process of how it is performed. One example of this is cooking, in which short-form videos like Instagram stories and reels, and TikToks, have led me to wanting to try more elaborate recipes.

If you’re an active photographer, creating behind-the-scenes footage of your shoots can be great viewing, even if you think it might be too dull. In this video, Evan Ranft simply shows his routine and him taking some street shots; it really isn’t complicated or outlandish. However, these sorts of videos are excellent at building an audience and then connecting with them. If you’re seeking more engagement on your socials or want a bigger following, creating these sorts of social media reels regularly could be your golden ticket.
