There has been an “interesting exchange” between French President Emmanuel Macron and US President Joe Biden at the G7 which has “come to light this morning,” says Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.

Mr Macron was seen having a conversation with the US President about oil and gas supply and prices.

“Was it deliberate to do this in front of journalists?” Mr Clennell said.

“Macron appearing to point out to Biden that with Russian oil and gas supply coming off, we have major problems with supply and prices now from what he is hearing from leaders in the Persian Gulf.”
